On the celebration of the Labour Day, Biskra University, through the Social Services
Committee, organised, on 5 May 2025, the events of the International Labour Day attended by
the University Rector, Pr Mahmoud Debabeche, with the University Secretary General,

Hakim Henano, the Vice-rectors, the Faculties Deans and members of the University
community, teachers, officials, administrators, and workers. The University Rector began the
ceremony with a speech expressing his sincere congratulations to the University staff and
teachers, thanking them for their continuous efforts in serving the University and enhancing
its status. He considered this opportunity to renew the pledge of the spirit commitment of
responsibility that positively reflects on the development of the academic level of the
University. He concluded by praising the Wilaya’s efforts to protect the rights of workers and
improve their conditions through legal frameworks and social security. The Social Services
Committee president, Mr. Oualid Benterki, pointed out, in his turn, that this celebration is a
message of loyalty and appreciation to all employees of Biskra University in honour of their
efforts contributing to raise the university status nationally and internationally, supporting
employees, workers and teachers in various stages. The ceremony then rewarded with prizes a
number of professors, administrative staff and workers in recognition of their outstanding
efforts in performing their duties and contributing to the advancement of the University. The
ceremony ended in an atmosphere of pride and honour, strengthening the spirit of cooperation
and responsibility among all University members.
