On 13th May 2025, Biskra University hosted the doctoral training third level official opening
attended by officials, the University Secretary General, the deputy directors, deans of
faculties, teachers and new doctoral students.

It coincided with the national official inauguration, presided by the Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister, Mr Kamel
Badari, at Bouguerra Mohamed University of Boumerdes. Professor Salim Bitam, Third
Level Training Vice-rector, delivered a speech on behalf of the Rector, congratulating the
admitted students and stressing it is an all-doctoral training stages evaluation. He reviewed the
competition doctoral results, with 13 divisions spread over 26 disciplines and the admission of
104 students, thanking the teachers’ contribution. He also emphasised on the university's
commitment to providing high quality training for a conducive scientific research,
encouraging doctoral students’ participation in scientific activities and publishing their
research in renowned international journals and platforms for the university's visibility and
ranking. He also delivered a lecture on the third stage training process. Professor Saïd
Benyamina, the National Committee for the Supervision and Follow-up of the
Implementation of the Initial Training Programme Chairman, gave a presentation on the
developments and updates of the Doctoral Supplementary Training Programme. Professor
Nabila Ben Houhou, the National Committee for Education Chairman, gave a presentation on
the objectives and prospects of training. The meeting saw the contributions of heads of the
national committees for philosophy, the English language and information and
communication technologies, making the event rich and multidimensional.
