The University of Biskra, in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and supported by the European Union, is pleased to host the Technical Assistance Mission (TAM) Workshop under the theme “Towards the Modernization of Governance in Algeria Higher Education Institutions.” This two-day workshop, scheduled for October 28-29, 2024, will bring together policymakers, academic experts, and international leaders to discuss critical reforms and advancements in higher education governance and quality assurance.
On 16th October, Biskra University Central Library organised an open day about the Central
Library and the Network and Information Systems Centre attended by the University
community, with the vice-rector,
Biskra University General Secretariat and the Scientific, Cultural and Sports Activities Sub-
Directorate organised an open day on 8 October 2024 to display the various recognised clubs
activities. The Vice-rector of pedagogy, Mr Abdelhamid Djeffal, with the University
Secretary General, Mr Hakim Henano, Pr. Missoum Belkacem, the Humanities and Social
Sciences Faculty Dean, and Mr Chokri Guenedi, Secretary General of the Letters and
Languages Faculty of attended as a motivation to our dear students. These events represent
the start of the university clubs in their scientific, cultural and sports activities for 2024-2025
season to support students’ life.

As part of the celebration of the World Immunisation Week, with Biskra Directorate of
Health, Medical and Biskra University Social Centre announced on 20 October 2024, the
vaccination campaign launch against diphtheria and tetanus.
Recommended by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and represented
by the Student Life Directorate, Biskra University Medical Centre organised, on Sunday 7th
October awareness days on the most important dangers like drug consumption, smoking, for
the benefit of the University community.
